Water Orton prides itself in the number of sports facilities available to the village and surrounding communities. Some clubs have been established for over 100 years. The Bowling Club is on such organisation, established in 1939.
It is located on St Blaise Avenue and boasts an excellent bowling green, however, the same cannot be said for the toilet facilities. The parish council owns both the land and the building used by the club and has agreed that, through the lack of investment over the years, and its responsibility to provide facilities fit for purpose, there is an urgent need to build a new toilet block.
It is hoped that funding can be obtained to enable the block to be built.
