Extending Working Hours and Movement of HS2 Vehicles Through The Village

Extending working hours

The working hours for construction work of Hs2 is changing in the area. Belfour, Beatty, Vinci (BBV) have had consent accepted for summer working hours in areas across the route of works.

The working hours are:

• From 7.00am until 8.00pm weekdays
• 7.00am until 4.00pm on Saturdays.

Work will start in areas near the M42 M6 link road using these working hours and will access the area using our internal haul roads.

The extended working hours consent runs until the end of September. If there are areas of work that directly impact stakeholders BBV will notify as normal with at least 2 weeks of notice.

Movement of Hs2 vehicles through the village

BBV can use up to 40 movements through Water Orton westbound to itss site on the B4118. From there they would need to exit westbound through Castle Bromwich and not back through Water Orton eastbound. BBV endeavour to use the M42 M6 link road as an access to its site at all times but there may be times when they cannot due to safety / maintenance issues – as has been the issues recently. BBV expect to be back on the M42 M6 link road week commencing 11^th April as normal.
