You are summoned to attend an extraordinary meeting of Water Orton Parish Council to be held at the Pavilion, Openfield Croft at 7:00pm on Thursday 23 July 2026 at which the following business will be transacted.  Any Councillor unable to attend should forward their apologies either to the Clerk or the Chairman.

26/27.01 Apologies:  
  To receive and approve reasons for absence.

 
26/27.02 Public Participation:
  To allow for public participation (maximum of 3 minutes per speaker) to allow for public participation. Residents are invited to give their views and question the Parish Council on issues on this agenda or raise issues for future consideration at the discretion of the Chairman. Members of the public wishing to raise issues which are not on the agenda should notify the Clerk, members of the Public may not take part in the Council Meeting itself.  You are requested to send your comments to the Clerk by midday on the day of the meeting.

 
26/27.03 Declarations of Interest and dispensations:
  To receive Declarations of Interests and consider grant of

dispensations of which written notice has been received by the Clerk.

 
 26/27.04 Pavilion-URisk-Risk Assessment Report:

 To consider proposals, recommendations and actions in relation to the Legionella Risk Assessment Report from URisk. The Parish Council to consider the following proposals:

 

To review consider and approve all the remedial works recommended in the Legionella Risk Assessment Report to be carried out by URisk, and to consider and approve the cost of the quote for URisk to carry out all works is in the sum of £6,621.00 plus VAT.

The Parish Council to consider whether to enter into the terms of the Service Agreement with URisk.

26/27.05 North Warwickshire Local Plan Consultation-Regulation 18
  North Warwickshire Borough Council are undertaking a second round of consultation under Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.

 

The Consultation commenced on Thursday 09 July and will run to Wednesday 19 August 2026. The Parish Council to discuss and consider the submission of any comments on any aspects of the Local Plan.

 26/27.06 Local Government Reorganisation:
  The Government has confirmed the preferred option for Local Government Reorganisation in Warwickshire with two new unitary authorities to be established, one covering the north of Warwickshire and one covering south Warwickshire.

 

The Parish Council to discuss and consider the Government’s decision.

 

 
26.27.07 Closed Session:
  To consider moving into a closed session and exclude the public and press, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 due to the nature of the business to be discussed relating to commercial matters on the agenda.
