Piling work in Coleshill
The Curdworth Box will carry the HS2 trainline over the existing trainline, to the east of the A446 in Coleshill. As part of the works for the Curdworth Box, piling activities will recommence in January 2023.
The bored piling will continue from Monday 3 January 2023 until the end of February 2023. Bored piles are used to form a foundation that provides support for structures by distributing their weight evenly across the ground. To install the piles, we will use a piling machine to drill a vertical hole deep into the ground. We will then lower the reinforced steel into the hole using a crane before filling the hole with concrete.
Our working hours will be from 7.30am until 7.00pm, Monday to Friday.
The location of the areas we will be working in are outlined in the map on the notification.
